The Japanese has come up with a really interesting iPhone case! It is the Factron Quattro for iPhone SP, a case made from leather, carbon fiber, and stainless steel. The case might sound expensive for slightly under $200, and may look a bit weird, but this case provides the ultimate in iPhone 3GS protection and at the same time offers extra lenses for iPhone’s camera function.

You can accessories this case with additional lenses such as the fish-eye, wide angle, and macro zoom which costs between $15-50 each. This case and the lenses look like really fun, don’t they? Certainly make your iPhone stands out!

Not sure if you could get this elsewhere other than Japan. Check out more on this Japanese site Factron.

iPhone 3GS owners, the wait to jailbreak your shiny new iPhone 3GS is over! iPhone hacker George Hotz originally unlocked the iPhone, has released a jailbreaking application for the iPhone 3GS code-named purplera1n. The project started out as a tool only for certain variants of Windows, but has since blossomed into candidates for most modern variants of Windows (not Windows 7 though) and a Mac solution.

To jailbreak iPhone 3GS, go to purplera1n.com. Download the application. Make sure you have Windows (but not Windows 7), the latest iTunes installed, and an iPhone 3GS with 3.0 firmware. Connect your iPhone as you use normally. Click on “make it ra1n”. Wait. On bootup, run Freeze, the purplera1n installer app. From here, it’s quite simple and you should have no problem proceeding… This tool is still in beta, so make sure to have everything backed up before trying. In case Cydia doesn’t show up after running Freeze, reboot your iPhone.

Have doubt? John Biggs at CrunchGear have already tried purplera1n and he thinks the jailbreaking process as “amazingly simple.”

Happy jailbreaking!

The NokiPhone N3000i might resemble the Nokia N95 at first glance, but look carefully, isn’t it an iPhone? No, it isn’t! NokiPhone N3000i is a combination of Nokia N95 + Apple iPhone!

Basically the NokiPhone N3000i takes all the goodness of the Nokia N95 and then grabs a slice of the stylish iPhone, slams them together and comes up with this all new made-in-China NokiPhone N3000i. This mobile phone features dual-slider design reminiscent of Nokia N95 and a 3.2-inch touchscreen. It also features dual SIM cards capability. Too bad, NokiPhone N3000i does not support 3G.

Features at a glance:

3.2-inch QVGA display

WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity

Dual SIM support

Video recording capability

microSD memory card slot

All that for just US$129. Can’t afford iPhone or thought this Apple phone is too expensive? Then NokiPhone N3000i is the phone for you!

Anyway, having said all that, the iPhone’s camera is still quite inferior compared to the current slew of camera phones out there. Most new Sony Ericsson and Nokia phones have a far better camera than that of Apple’s. But I was pleasantly surprised to see the 100 amazing iPhone photos compiled by Haje Jan Kamps of Photocritic.org. They are really amazingly good!

Check out a few of them below which are my favorite.

Those amazing photos are great for inspirations. Do check out the rest at Photocritic.org.

Who is not familiar with that classic game Space Invaders? Well, probably the younger generation are not too familiar with this game but the older ones certainly have played this game before. Though simplistic by today’s standards, Space Invaders was one of the forerunners of modern video gaming and helped expand the video game industry from a novelty to a global industry.

When the game was first released, Space Invaders was very successful and popular.

This latest Space Invaders release for iPhone and iPod Touch makes full use of the motion sensor and other iPhone 3G and iPod Touch input methods, resulting in an intuitive style of play never seen before.

The “Nagoya Attack” technique and other tricks present in the original game remain intact, but further features are added such as a look into the original game’s development.

Lately, there has been a lot of rumors on iPhone 4G, and there is even a new features picture at Gizmodo. Look at those smooth curves and the slim design! Of course, the phone in the picture here is an iPhone 4G concept which won’t see the light of day anytime soon.

Some of the new features expected include:

Sturdy titanium and glass design

OLED screen

3G data speed

True GPS

iChat camera

Removable battery

Standard headphone jack

3.2 megapixel camera

Video capable

32GB capacity

Messaging light

Naturally this new iPhone has got better features such as a megapixels front camera, a better processor and it knows how to multitask!

Well, I certainly hope Apple is paying attention to this!… otherwise let’s hope LG or Toshiba’s touchscreen phones will deliver everything the iPhone didn’t.

Austrian luxury designer and jeweler Peter Aloisson has designed the world’s most expensive iPhone. While diamond studded mobile phones are nothing new, but this mobile phone is somewhat different because it’s an Apple iPhone… it has a nice name too, iPhone Princess Plus.

This could well be the world’s most expensive mobile phone!

The otherwise standard iPhone features a line of white gold around the edge of the phone and is also encrusted with 138 high-quality cut diamonds. The phone derives its name from the Princess cut used on 138 of the 318 diamonds. The rest of the 180 diamonds are brilliant cut. Needless to say, all diamonds used are of the top quality!

This iPhone Princess Plus has a price tag of €120,000. But, if you can’t afford this pricey iPhone, you can buy the iPhone set only with brilliant-cut diamonds. This can be purchased at a price of €45,000 (USD66,150).

Wanna order one today?

Apple may have loosened up its restrictions on iPhone farting applications and it may also have introduced a whole new “17+” category specifically to house a whole series of bloody and violent titles, but apparently sex is still off the table. Apple has rejected iBoobs, an application which allows iPhone users to wobble a pair of animated woman’s breasts at will.

(Not actual iBoobs screen shot, see video below for iBoobs application)

The iBoobs application which was developed by Mystic Game Development was rejected on the grounds of “objectionable content”.

Apple’s rejection letter to Mystic, Apple has this to say:

“Applications must not contain any Obscene, pornographic, offensive or defamatory content or materials of any kind (text, graphics, images, photographs, etc.), or other content or materials that in Apple’s reasonable judgment may be found objectionable by iPhone or iPod touch users.”

Apple has encouraged the creators “to make the necessary changes so that iBoobs does not violate the iPhone SDK Agreement.”

I think some iPhone and iPod Touch geeks would be very upset with Apple’s decision.
