Motorola Launched today a new M990 Smart Rider phone. Strange as it is to believe, Motorola have developed a fixed carphone. This device is specifically designed to be installed in a car. It spotted in an FCC approval document, is described as a “GSM high tier fixed mobile car phone†and is a quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE handset with integrated GPS and Bluetooth.
The FCC documentation describes it as “targeted to a broad band of markets looking for exclusivity like business men, limousines and private cars looking for stylish communication and navigation solutionâ€, which seems a pretty unusual and old-fashioned brief.

Last few days, Motorola has introduce their two new W series GSM handphones at the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show, Motorola W230 and W270. These 2 handsets offer easy-to-user music capabilities, expandable memory with optional microSD card, clear audio in noisy environments and a simplified interface for text messaging.

This is the third phone with Verizon’s TV service, but it’s the first with an internal antenna. The previous television phones, the Samsung SCH-U620 and the LG VX9400 had giant, pop-out TV antennas.

Motorola announced the imminent launch of the RAZR 2 V9m on Alltel, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular and Verizon Wireless, all within the next few weeks. Sprint will launch its variant on August 22, while Verizon’s has just promising to launch the new model of Motorola in coming September.
Verizon Wireless is the first carrier to announce its betting on the RAZR 2 V9m. The company said its flavor of RAZR 2 will hit stores in September for $299 after a $50 rebate and with a 2-year contract. Expect similar announcements soon from the other three big carriers.
