Recently, Sony Ericsson has presented a new mobile phone called Zylo. This is the latest of their “Walkman Phone” lineup. One main feature of this mobile phone is that it includes plenty of social features, so it is effortless for you to easily access Facebook and Twitter.

Sony Ericsson Zylo supports the HD FLAC audio format, a high-quality lossless audio codec. Unlike the MP3 and AAC audio codecs this doesn’t reduce the audio quality and delivers the best experience with the proprietary Clear Audio technology! Another key feature on the Sony Ericsson Zylo mobile phone is TrackID – which allows users to access the name and artist of a track they hear playing. This function has proved popular with music lovers with 129 million TrackID lookups in 2009 alone! This is really amazing, isn’t it?

The Sony Ericsson Spiro will be available in the market in Q3 of 2010. Color options will be Black contrast, Pink sunset, Green spring and Black stealth. There is still no news on the Sony Ericsson Zylo price yet as of now. Do stay tuned.

It has been a while since I did any phone review, anyway, today let’s check out Motorola DROID.

The Motorola DROID is an impressive device that is initially exclusive to Verizon Wireless.

Motorola, what can we expect from this company? Well, for years the name has been synonymous with sadly… disappointment. While the company did produced fairly good cellphones such as the RAZR, the days which followed have not been especially fruitful or compelling. Over the past year or so, we have seen Motorola beating its way back into the mainstream through a series of smart plays: first embracing Android as a platform, then shucking off the weight of Windows Mobile and finally bringing some desirable devices to us.

Let’s get back to DRIOD. The Motorola DROID is an impressive piece of hardware. The most obvious feature to begin with is the large 3.7″ 480 x 854 pixel touchscreen. This size will be ideal for web browsing and multimedia playback. Great for web and multimedia addicts.

Tthe DROID has a rather conventional slide-out QWERTY keyboard too. However, there is no real spacing between the keys though, and the navigation pad that sits alongside them looks a little out of place.

The DROID’s GPS comes with the latest version of Google Maps, which in itself is a pretty significant update as it provides free turn-by-turn voice guidance, and also has voice recognition so that you can tell it where you want to go without touching it. Oh, before I forgot, this DROID baby also has an electronic compass!

So, in conclusion, is the Motorola DROID a good smartphone? We think yes, it is. The DROID is an excellent smartphone with many features a modern user would expect from a modern phone. Get one if you want a change from the usual Apple iPhone.

Oh, check out this Motorola DRIOD video.

I must say this handset is so interesting though a little extraordinary. Nokia 7705 Twist has a very unusual square form factor that swivels. For the time being this phone is exclusive to the Verizon network in the US.

The Nokia Twist is a device with 3G capability that sports a 2.4-inch QVGA (320 x 240 pixel) display which is capable of rendering up to 262,000 different colors. It weighs about 98g and is 69mm square in size. Bluetooth support for headsets and stereo headphones is also supported.

Although this is a very different looking handset, Verizon says that the Twist should be available from September 13th onwards at just under USD100 after a USD50 rebate. The catch is you need to sign up a 2 year contract.

Nokia 7705 Twist features at a glance:
Network: CDMA 800 / 900
Screen: 2.4″ 320 x 240 pixels, 262k colours

The Japanese has come up with a really interesting iPhone case! It is the Factron Quattro for iPhone SP, a case made from leather, carbon fiber, and stainless steel. The case might sound expensive for slightly under $200, and may look a bit weird, but this case provides the ultimate in iPhone 3GS protection and at the same time offers extra lenses for iPhone’s camera function.

You can accessories this case with additional lenses such as the fish-eye, wide angle, and macro zoom which costs between $15-50 each. This case and the lenses look like really fun, don’t they? Certainly make your iPhone stands out!

Not sure if you could get this elsewhere other than Japan. Check out more on this Japanese site Factron.

iPhone 3GS owners, the wait to jailbreak your shiny new iPhone 3GS is over! iPhone hacker George Hotz originally unlocked the iPhone, has released a jailbreaking application for the iPhone 3GS code-named purplera1n. The project started out as a tool only for certain variants of Windows, but has since blossomed into candidates for most modern variants of Windows (not Windows 7 though) and a Mac solution.

To jailbreak iPhone 3GS, go to purplera1n.com. Download the application. Make sure you have Windows (but not Windows 7), the latest iTunes installed, and an iPhone 3GS with 3.0 firmware. Connect your iPhone as you use normally. Click on “make it ra1n”. Wait. On bootup, run Freeze, the purplera1n installer app. From here, it’s quite simple and you should have no problem proceeding… This tool is still in beta, so make sure to have everything backed up before trying. In case Cydia doesn’t show up after running Freeze, reboot your iPhone.

Have doubt? John Biggs at CrunchGear have already tried purplera1n and he thinks the jailbreaking process as “amazingly simple.”

Happy jailbreaking!

Basically the NokiPhone N3000i takes all the goodness of the Nokia N95 and then grabs a slice of the stylish iPhone, slams them together and comes up with this all new made-in-China NokiPhone N3000i. This mobile phone features dual-slider design reminiscent of Nokia N95 and a 3.2-inch touchscreen. It also features dual SIM cards capability. Too bad, NokiPhone N3000i does not support 3G.

Features at a glance:

3.2-inch QVGA display

WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity

Dual SIM support

Video recording capability

microSD memory card slot

All that for just US$129. Can’t afford iPhone or thought this Apple phone is too expensive? Then NokiPhone N3000i is the phone for you!

Billed as Nokia’s “most rugged mobile phone”, Nokia 3720 is getting ready to join the ranks of dust and water resistant phones. Nokia 3720 Classic is IP54 certified, meaning it’s dust and splash resistant. Although not as resilient as some phones such as the Sonim XP3 or the Samsung B2100, the Nokia 3720 Classic should survive most things you throw at it.

Nokia 3720 Classic is a smart looking mobile phone, it is at least much more “normal” looking than some other rugged phones.

This phone is good if you need to pick it up to call for help after having fallen into your bathtub but don’t count on making any phone calls or even sending text messages from underwater – this is because the radio waves may not reach deeper than a few inches below the surface.

A combination of stainless steel and leak-resistant panels give this phone a discrete air of toughness, rather than making it look like a brick. Anyway, I think the most obvious thing on this phone is the screw lock that keeps the battery compartment shut.
