Yahoo! Go for Mobile 2.0 is sleek, addictive, and full of useful Yahoo! tools and content. It is optimized for the “small screen” of a mobile phone, making it easy and fun to access the Internet.
At its core is the carousel, used to navigate intuitively among the various Yahoo! Go widgets. The widgets include a search facility, e-mail, and features that deliver local information and maps, news, sports data, financial information, entertainment, weather, and Flickr photos. Simply use the carousel to scroll over to the widget you want.
Since Yahoo! Go uses advanced caching and background loading technology, your widget content is automatically and continuously “pushed” to your phone, so it’s always right there when you want it.
Although Yahoo! says it’s considering support for other OS such as BREW, Linux, or Palm OS, but according to PC Magazine, it works only on Java, Symbian, and Windows Mobile phones. The application will run on 175 different feature phones and smart phones.
