Pantech C510 Music Phone

Pantech has announced a veritable truckload of new handsets from CTIA Wireless in Orlando, the C510 that features RBD’s latest three songs and their music video. With a metallic design and features tooled for audio, the Pantech C510 is an interesting little handset. The phone clocks in quite a few musically friendly specs including Equalizer that allows users to choose the sound tone, depending on the different genres.
The Pantech C510 is a quad-band GPRS/EDGE device. It’s bright color scheme is obviously aimed at the youth demographic. The C510 has 128×160 pixel resolution internal display which is disappointing. It is complemented by an inverse monochrome external screen for track information, positioned next to music control keys on the outside of the flip.
The phone itself is a pretty uninteresting one — EDGE data, Bluetooth, certainly nothing on the order of its 3G-capable big brother, the C600 — but Pantech’s C510 has one very important distinction: it’s the first time we’ve seen that new, hip AT&T branding on a phone. For folks out of the loop, that’s “Cingular” in 2006 parlance, and it looks like the carrier is about ready to flip the switch on moving its new old new branding to equipment. Of course, the FCC isn’t a great barometer for knowing exactly when stuff is going to actually make it into consumers’ hands; it could be a month or six (or more) before those three exquisitely-crafted lower case letters are silk screened onto a phone that’s actually in your pocket. See the C510 spread wide open after the break (notice the select button — so long, splat).[via Engadget]
It features a 2GB external memory; 1GB memory chip comes with it for more storage, Bluetooth connectivity, 1.3M camera, MPEG 4 recording, games and other multimedia features. You can navigate file list with ease by album, singer, or genre. It is available in four colors; green, purple, blue, and orange.
Pantech C510 specs are as follows: Band- GPRS/EDGE Quad-Band, Display- Main – 4.57cm(1.8″) 260K TFT (128*160 Pixels), Sub – 1Line Mono Camera- 1.3 Mega Pixels Sound- 40 Polyphonic, MP3 Ringtone Multimedia- MP3, AAC, AAC+,WMA, MPEG4 Connectivity- USB, Bluetooth Stereo Dimension- 85.7(h)*43.5(w)*18.7(t), 83.5g Message- SMS, MMS.
