Nokia 6110 Navigator

Nokia 6110 Navigator

The latest and current focus in mobile phones market is mobile phones with built-in GPS (Global Positioning System). The Nokia 6110 Navigator is Nokia’s first dedicated smartphone aimed specifically towards this navigation market.

The 6110 slider phone would be bundled with a local map preinstalled on a microSD card for immediate use, but currently only Singapore, Bangkok and Australia maps are available.

You can view your current location on the map, looking for specific routes, find specific destinations or locate services such as restaurants, hotels or shops that are nearby. Additional maps can be conveniently transferred to the phone by using the Nokia Map Manager application included.

The Nokia 6110 Navigator enables fast and seamless access to online information with HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) up to 3.6 Mbps. What’s missing are wireless LAN and infrared. Fortunately, there’s Bluetooth and push email, in addition to a Message reader function that reads emails or text messages aloud.

The Nokia 6110 Navigator is an ideal tool for 3G multimedia, enabling real time video sharing and video calls, as well as a 2 megapixel camera with a dedicated capture key, panorama mode, and integrated flash.

With the full screen view, you can enjoy your video clips. The maps and images are clear and crisp to see on the large and clear 2.2″ QVGA screen with 16 million colors. The phone is comes with a camera lens cover for for extra protection.

Sounds good, can’t wait to finally loose my bluetooth gps and use my navigation program together with the embedded gps. I have heard that wisepilot soon is releasing their version, I like them better then telenav. Test it at http://www.wisepilot.com.
