Nokia N79 review

Nokia N79 is a newly launched entertainment-focused candybar mobile phone. The design is quite similar to Nokia N85, which was also announced just recently, although it comes with a more stylish focus.

For those worried about matching their mobile phone with their outfit when they hit the streets, three Xpress-on smart covers are included with Nokia N79. With the ability to change the covers and the phone’s themes, you will look cool everyday!

Nokia N79

In typical S60 fashion, a lot of the core functionality from older models remain, while new and improved features are seamlessly integrated. The Nokia N79 runs on Symbian S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2, and as expected there are a lot of things that remind one of older models with the same operating system.

The Nokia N79 integrates navigation, music with FM transmitter, high-speed connectivity, web browsing, over 10 preinstalled N-Gage games and an advanced camera in one compact device. The 5.0-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics comes with dual LED flash and video lights to captures clear images. Video can be edited on the N79 directly and photos can be geotagged to specific locations. The N79 comes with a combination of three Xpress-on smart covers of either Light Sea Blue, Espresso Brown, Olive Green, White and Coral Red.

Great review. But I personally prefer n85 for it’s AMOLED screen and 0.2 inch bigger. Anyway, the video you attached is about n97 not n79.

IMHO, n79 is a revamp version of n82 except for it’s xenon flash. For those who consider n82 and n79, you can go for n79 for it’s superb battery life and feature pack 2.
