Samsung SCH-V960

All new phones need a unique selling point and the Samsung SCH-V960 is no different. This time, Samsung Electronics , a leading provider and innovator of mobile phones, launches the world’s first mobile phone featuring an optical joystick, which it claims will revolutionise the way users interact with the menu and user interface of mobile handsets.
Slide your finger on the optical joystick, then as you move it, the cursor, using optical sensors, scrolls around in similar fashion to a PC mouse, instead of just in four directions like most directional controls on cellphones. Then you can click on the icons on the screen, similar interface to that on a PC environment.

You can gain direct access to frequently used menus such as photo album, messaging, and music menu. Users can also use the Optical Joystick to easily scroll through the play list while listening to their music.
The V960 also featuring a 2.0 megapixel camera, Bluetooth and GPS capabilities, EV-DO data, 2.12-inch 240×320 display and microSD expansion to store your media.
The phone also comes with a “smart lighting” features to automatically control the brightness of the LCD and keypad according to ambient lighting conditions, to help preserve battery power.
