The Samsung SGH-ZX10 is the first UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) phone in North America and Samsung’s first 3G clamshell phone.

The Samsung SGH-ZX10 is one of the first devices to access Cingular Video by taking advantage of Cingular’s new UMTS service. Through UMTS, users can watch video clips on the SGH-ZX10 via subscription channel programming.

As the first UMTS phone in North America, the SGH-ZX10 allows customers to transfer data at broadband rates, achieving speeds which can up to 220 to 320 kbps with WAP 2.0 compliant browser.

The SGH-ZX10 also using quad-band GSM technology, wherever GSM networks are available, it allows users to connect worldwide, enjoy more places around the globe with quad-band support.

The SGH-ZX10 features a 1.3-megapixel camera with a rotating lens and an LED flash and video recording capabilities, thus it offers latest multimedia, imaging and entertainment functions.

It ensures there is enough storage for long hours of entertainment during long journey on the road with it’s 50MB of internal memory and an expandable microSD memory card slot.
