Samsung U300 Ultra Edition 9.6
The Samsung U300 Ultra Edition 9.6 is a ultra slim mobile phone which measures on 9.6mm in depth, 100mm in height with a width of 51mm. Slightly slimmer that the D830, the U300 is just 9.6mm thick compared to 9.9m.
The handset will get much attention due to its slim design & high quality finish. The handset is encased in metal & comes in a choice of colour finishes which include silver, blue with gold & grey with black.
Claimed to be the world’s slimmest clamshell phone, the U300 sports a 2.2-inch TFT-LCD display with 240×320 resolution and an external 96×16 OLED, 3.0-megapixel digital camera, Bluetooth 2.0, EDGE, and USB connectivity. However, the U300 does not appear to have expandable memory (only with built in 70MB memory), which puts it at a disadvantage over the older handset.
The U300 has a multimedia player that can play back MP3, AAC, WMA, WMDRM, H.263 and MPEG4 clips.
The U300 features a built in EDGE technology which works at high speed 3 times faster than an GPRS transfer allows fast & effective data transfers on the mobile device.
The U300 also supports mobile printing & comes complete with a TV output facility. The handset is inclusive of document viewing facility, and this allows user to view all popular document formats.
By using the Bluetooth™ technology or USB connection (USB 2.0), user can connect their Samsung U300 Ultra Edition 9.6 to any Bluetooth™ or USB compatible device such as a printer, PC, laptop or headset.
The WAP XHTML Internet browser comes along with the U300. User can access from the main menu & access web & blog sites from their mobile phone.
As mentioned above, there are duo screens on the handset. The external screen is a mono black & white screen which provides the user with vital information when their phone is closed. The internal screen is large & colourful which provides the user with a high resolution, high colour display.
The 3 megapixel camera which comes complete with a 4 x digital zoom & auto focus feature, allows user to capture still photographs or full colour video footage.
As other smartphone in the market, the U300 also comes with a fast and easy email service & messaging services which allows the user to send & receive messages or email to compatible messaging contacts. The messaging services include a SMS text message service & a MMS multimedia messaging service which allows the user to share their photos & images with other MMS contacts.
The integrated music player in Samsung U300 can play popular music formats & allows the user to download all their preferred music for a great music experience when they are away from their music centre.
The user can store all their contacts details in the built in phone book & use the day to day features when they require them. The built in day to day feature include a useful calculator, currency converter & alarm clock feature which will ensure the user is never late again.
