Sony Ericsson Z555i

Diamond will be the next character in mobile phone designs? As we can see, first came the Nokia 7500 and Nokia 7900 Prism handsets, and now Sony Ericsson has followed the trend with the Sony Ericsson Z555i clamshell phone.
The Sony Ericsson Z555i is a simple fashion phone. Behind the pretty exterior, the Z555i is very basic. The Sony Ericsson Z555 handset wants to be stylish with its diamond-inspired design and bejeweled keypad when you open it up, but then again cheap substitutes make this look rather tacky.
There’s a 1.9″ 176 x 220 pixel display, 1.3 megapixel camera, FM radio, media player, stereo Bluetooth and expandable memory. It’s not a bad specification, but it does position the Z555 in the lower end of the midrange market.
The big draw here is Gesture Control, which lets to flip back and forth between call and mute and you can even sweep your hand over the phone to turn off the alarm. As Sony says, it’s magic!
It comes in Diamond Black and Dusted Rose — Dusted went to high school with Matt and is now in porn — and has an outer display that disappears into the front design.
