Sony Ericsson Z780 is the new HSDPA phone, packs tri-band 3G into its stylish clamshell frame. In addition to supporting high speed networks such as HSDPA and 3G the Z780 is also equipped with A-GPS.

The Sony Ericsson Z780 is almost identical to the Z770 announced a couple of months ago, but this time it comes with aGPS (Advanced GPS) and Google maps. Thanks to the latest version of Google Maps for Mobile that comes pre-installed, you’ll have direct access high quality maps as well as satellite images.

The built-in aGPS functionality of the Z780 allows you to find the address of your friend’s party or the quickest route to your next meeting. Google Maps for Mobile then enables you to receive turn-by-turn directions that help you to find your way.

The Z780 features as a large 2.2″ 240 x 320 pixel internal display, a 2.0 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, an FM radio, multimedia player, RSS reader, email client, web browser and a blogging tool. The Z780 comes with Memory Stick Micro cards to expand the internal 35MB of memory.
